Tom Davies

He has been involved in both service and product organisations from many public and private sector markets. He has successfully led corporate functions and out-sourcing as a member of executive boards in very different organisations. His work for central government departments allowed him to work alongside Ministers and senior civil servants, developing policy and commissioning major change and development programs from professional services companies. He works as an executive coach with senior professional leaders, enabling him to build effective performance coaching relationships with partnerships, teams and individuals.

As Principal of the PPL Group, he currently focuses his expertise on developing leaders and effective partnership teams, driving programmes of change, restructuring and improvement across functions and organisations. As well as his coaching work, his recent consultancy roles have included: • Developing an internship-based graduate development scheme • Designing an internal corporate consultancy service for executive leaders • Reviewing new UK degree curricula for modernising science careers • Workforce redesign and negotiating strategies for the UK Prison Service • Strategic advisor to ICI and Aga Khan Development Network in Pakistan • Company Secretary for two “hi-tech” startup companies.

A fellow of his Professional Institute and a member of its National Professional Development Committee, Tom lives in rural Somerset with his radiographer wife, has a daughter competing in the equestrian world and a son managing in the high-end cycle and leisure industry. Tom’s hobbies include playing squash, badminton and coaching at junior rugby level. He is an accomplished musician playing in several bands across a wide range of musical genres. He also works as a sound, lighting & installation engineer at festivals and events.
